Concert Artists of Baltimore is proud to perform in Friedberg Hall on the campus of the Peabody Institute in Baltimore’s historic Mt. Vernon neighborhood. Built in neoclassical style, Miriam A. Friedberg Concert Hall at One East Mount Vernon Place is one of the oldest recital halls in America. With a split-level orchestra floor and small balcony, the hall seats 700.

Friedberg Hall is wheelchair accessible.

Parking

Parking is available weeknights after 4:00 p.m. and weekends for $4.00 in the Peabody Garage, subject to availability, with entrance in the 600 block of Saint Paul Street on the right-hand side just before Centre Street. Take a parking ticket as you enter. There is a $5.00 fee for parking in our garage on concert days. Our garage attendants located at the exit will gladly assist you if you have difficulty locating a parking space or are uncomfortable leaving your vehicle. You may be asked to leave your key to allow them to move you car. If there is no room in the Peabody lot you may be asked to park in an alternate location.

Another parking garage location if our Peabody Garage is full: Waterloo Parking- 600 block of Calvert Street on the left-hand side.

Directions to the Peabody Institute

From the North

  1. Take I-95 South or I-83 South to the Baltimore Beltway (695 West towards Towson).
  2. From the Baltimore Beltway, take I-83 South again.
  3. About 10 minutes after entering I-83, take the St. Paul St. exit toward downtown Baltimore.
  4. About 10 blocks South on St. Paul you will cross Mt. Vernon Place (there will be a park and a tall monument to your right).
  5. Immediately get into the right lane where our Peabody Parking Garage entrance is located.
  6. The entrance is on the right side of St. Paul St. at Centre St.

From the South

  1. Take I-95 North to Exit 53 for I-395 North.
  2. Follow the signs to Inner Harbor.
  3. Turn Right on Pratt Street.
  4. Turn Left on Charles Street (one-way North).
  5. Follow Charles Street north one mile to Baltimore's Washington Monument. The Monument is in the middle of Mount Vernon Place. Peabody occupies a whole city block bounded by Charles Street, Mount Vernon Place, St. Paul Street, and Centre Street.
  6. Turn Right onto Mount Vernon Place.
  7. To park in the Peabody Garage, continue on Mount Vernon Place for one block and turn Right on St. Paul Street. The entrance to the garage will be on your right side.
